- Wayne Hinshaw/for the Salisbury Post ... The All-Rowan County high school wrestlers, as determined on by the first-place finishes in the all-county tournament on Dec. 19 at West Rowan. Front row (L-R): Josh Vega (Carson, 106 lb.), Timmy Boyd (Salisbury, 113 lb.), Landon Carico (East, 120 lb.), Jeff Burrell (East, 126 lb.), Jibri Cowan (Salisbury, 132 lb.), Colton Carico ( East, 138 lb.), Cameron Rayfield (Carson, 145 lb.); Back row (L-R): Willie Clark (Salisbury, 152 lb.), Bailey Rayfield (Carson, 160 lb.), Max Wall (East, 170 lb.), Daniel Muncy (East, 182 lb.), Lee Poteat (West, 195 lb.), Michael Hughes (North, 220 lb.), Marquise Peele (Salisbury, 285 lb.). East Rowan’s wrestlers won the team championship, followed by Salisbury, Carson, West Rowan, North Rowan and South Rowan.
