Neel Road Baptist
Neel Road Baptist Church welcomes the Rev. Tim E. McQueen as senior pastor, and his wife Donna, as of January 1.
Rev. McQueen has served as pastor of churches in Devonshire, Bermuda, and in North Carolina Dunn and Kannapolis.
Rev. McQueen moved from Memorial Baptist Church, Kannapolis, where he served as senior pastor from 2007-2015. He has been active in evangelism, missions and pastorates. His wife Donna has been active in missions.
Rev. McQueen is a native of Concord and his education has included Fruitland Baptist Bible College, Gardner Webb University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. McQueen has 33 years of experience as senior pastor in Southern Baptist churches. He was licensed to preach the gospel in 1978.
Neel Road Baptist Church holds services Sundays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.
Gospel Fest at Union Chapel today
LINWOOD — Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Road, will host its fifth annual Gospel Fest today beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will feature gospel soloists and groups from North and South Carolina. Marquise Beatty Sr. of Richburg, S.C. will emcee the program. This event serves as an annual fundraiser for the Steward Board of Union Chapel.
ATC hosts One In Christ program today
Start the New Year “One In Christ” at 1915-1917 W. Innes St. today from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
This is “An Invest in Youth Ministry” of At The Cross Ministries Inc. with workshops, music and power talks for youth.

Southside Baptist
Southside Baptist Church will be hosting “To Make A Difference” in conjunction with Community Baptist Church beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.
The program consists of a light breakfast, door prizes and Christian entertainment on the first and third Wednesdays of every month.
A $1 donation per person is requested. Southside Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Jake Alexander Blvd. and Morlan Park Road.
Fairview Heights
Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church is hosting its 14th pastoral anniversary for Pastor Clarence E. Marlin and First Lady Evangelist Cathy Marlin beginning Wednesday, Jan. 6 and running through Friday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
Guest speakers are: Wednesday, Elder Odessa McCoy of Zion Tabernacle F.B.H. Church in Thomasville; Thursday, Presiding Elder Grant Harrison of Salisbury District AME Zion churches; and Friday, Rev. Carolyn Bratton of Moores Chapel AME Zion in Salisbury.
On Sunday, Jan. 10, the guest speaker is Rev. Andrew Davis, associate minister at Shady Grove Baptist Church in East Spencer for the 11 a.m. service. Dinner will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
The 3 p.m. service will conclude the celebration with Elder Timothy Lyons of St. John Primitive Baptist Church in Charlotte as guest speaker.
Ardis Chapel
Ardis Chapel AME Zion Church, 1940 Old Mocksville Road, will be having a home Missions Winter Revival Jan. 4 through 6, starting at 7 p.m. nightly.
Presiding Elder Dr. Calvin L. Miller, Presiding Elder of the Winston-Salem District and Rev. Dr. Karen R. Miller, pastor of Bethania AME Zion Church, Winston-Salem, will be the guest preachers for this occasion.
The Pilgrimaires
WOODLEAF — The Pilgrimaires Of Salisbury will have their 2016 annual gospel program , Sunday at 4 p.m. at Freedom United Church Of God, 1555 Hart Road.
The featured groups on program will be The New Voices of Faith of Mocksville, The Nu Revelations of the Carolinas, The Messengers for Christ of Cleveland and special guest group Pork Chop and the Fellas of Charlotte.
The program is free and food will be available for purchase.

Charity shoe drive
