South Rowan girls fall to Robinson

CONCORD — South Rowan fell to Robinson, 48-33, in SPC girls basketball action on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs improve to 4-7 and 3-4 in the SPC. South falls to 2-12 and 1-7.
South played without leading scorer Janiya Downs and Kamryn Stamey, both of whom are recovering from concussions.
“We struggled to score with Downs and Stamey, but Riley Corriher did a great job of handling the basketball and finding opening players,” said South coach John Davis.
Davis added that the Raiders were hurt by poor free throw shooting (11-of-33).
