Salisbury man charged with larceny and possession

A Salisbury man was charged with seven offenses on Friday.
In Cabarrus County, Bryan Williams Gibson, 31, was charged with misdemeanor larceny after stealing five rolls of mounting tape from the Home Depot, valuing $99.85, according to arrest reports. He was also charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and injury to personal property after taking a 2007 International 4000 truck and causing $200 of damage to it.
In Rowan County, Gibson was charged with possession of a stolen 2002 Toyota Tacoma, heroin and drug paraphernalia, which included two syringes and two spoons, according to arrest reports.
Gibson was also charged with resisting an officer after hiding from officers in a bathroom.
Gibson is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond for the misdemeanor larceny charge, a $150,000 secured bond for the larceny and injury to personal property charges and a $100,000 secured bond for the possession charges.
In other arrest reports:
- John Clinton Dunbar, 40, of Stanly County, was charged with assault on a female and breaking and entering.
- Danny Norman Strud, 41, of Stokes County, was charged with six counts of drug trafficking and one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a schedule IV controlled substance.
- Jon Willy Billings, 36, of Spencer, was charged with indecent liberties with a child.
- Cory W. Harrington, 22, of China Grove, was charged with larceny of a firearm, breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
