Local student marches in Rose Parade with VMI band

Among approximately 130 members of Virginia Military Institute’s Band Company to travel to Pasadena, California to participate in the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1 was Cadet Daniel Z. Robinson, son of Monica R. Robinson of Kannapolis.

The VMI Regimental Band and Pipe Band were selected from more than 100 bands, with fewer than 20 marching bands  appearing in the parade.
