Fibrant cost clarification

A headline in Thursday’s paper on costs from Salisbury’s Fibrant broadband network was unclear. Through the middle of the current fiscal year, only $1.8 million has been taken from the city’s general and capital reserve funds for Fibrant-related expenditures. The broadband network operates as its own enterprise fund, and that fund incurred $1.9 million in costs over the first half of the fiscal year, which were offset by $2.9 million in revenue from subscribers, according to the city.
