They ran for food at Centenary Methodist on Saturday

A cool and sunny morning greeted runners and walkers Saturday at Centenary Methodist Church. All proceeds from the Will Run for Food 5K and fun run will be used to package dehydrated meals for shipment to the needy around the world.

Leading the women was Alexandra Cosgrove with a clocking of 22:51, followed by Diane Allen in second with 23:29 and Susan Livengood in third at 26:14.

Top male masters runner was Craig Hipkins in 20:20 and 70-year-old Kathy Seavers paced the female masters in 27:01. Drew Davis won the half-mile fun run.

Race director Carla Kluttz said, “It was good to see so many come out for the race today, especially after all the preparation and effort by the volunteers and support from the sponsors.”
