Rowan County Weather, located in the Atwell Township of Rowan County, will be observing Severe Weather Preparedness Week on its website the week of March 6-12. Please check out the site at www.rowancountyweather.com for daily preparedness information during the week.

The focus on the website during Severe Weather Preparedness Week will be to offer residents important safety tips as well as ways residents can prepare for the weather disasters that could occur during the different seasons.

“This is an opportunity to provide Rowan County residents with the very valuable information needed to prepare for any event the weather could throw at us” said Steve Monday, chief forecaster for Rowan County Weather.

“It is a great time for all of us that not only focus on the weather daily to prepare but also for the everyday resident. I plan on utilizing the blog section of the website to provide daily information during Preparedness Week so that all Rowan County residents can be ready for anything this spring and summer.
