The Salisbury VA Medical Center and VBA Regional Office cordially invite veterans and their families to the Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the conflict to honor veterans who served in the Vietnam War.
The event will be held on the third floor of the new Kernersville VA Health Care Center located at 1695 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, on Tuesday, March 29 at 9:30 am.
The commemoration is part of a national recognition to honor veterans of the Vietnam War for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States; to highlight the service of the armed forces and agencies that made significant contributions to the war effort, and to pay tribute to the family members and loved ones of those who served.
Veterans will be honored and thanked for their service and “pinned” with a commemorative pin in recognition of their service. They will also be presented with a Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War Proclamation signed by the President of the United States.
The musical group Letters from Home will perform the National Anthem and provide additional entertainment. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the ceremony.
Media and the public are welcome to join in honoring our Vietnam veterans.
