Rowan weather: More showers coming

It’s going to be another cloudy day, still with a chance of showers and thunderstorms at least until this afternoon.
We have an 80 percent chance of precipitation, mostly this morning. Some storms could become severe and produce heavy rainfall, along with gusty winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. The high will be 77, with southwest winds at 10-15 mph, gusting to 22 mph. Rainfall totals could be as high as one inch.
A 50 percent chance of showers and storms lingers tonight, with a low of 55 and southwest winds calmer, at 5-9 mph. Up to another half-inch of rain is possible.
Saturday, we’ll wake up to a 20 percent chance of showers, with a cloudy morning giving away to clearing skies. The high will be 70, and there’s no break from the wind, which will come from the west at 7-14 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph. The low will be 40, with west wind at 6-11 mph, and gusts up to 20 mph.
Sunny Sunday, with a cooler high of 61 and west northwest winds at just 6-9 mph. Sunday night will be clear with a low of 40.
Sunny again on Monday, with a high of 71 and a low of 44.
Cooler Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 59. The low will be close to freezing, 34, so protect your tender plants.
Wednesday should be sunny with a high of 62 and a low of 46.
Then we’ll have a 40 percent of showers with mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday. The high will be 68.
