Benton 50th Anniversary

Charles Ray Benton and Dotty Delane Phillips Benton of Gold Hill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 9, 2016. A renewal of vows ceremony followed by a dinner prepared by their son Chrles R. Benton II was held to honor the couple April 9, 2016 at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church fellowship hall. The renewal of vows ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Barnhill.
The Bentons were united in marriage April 9, 1966 at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Paul Jones. Charles worked with Food Lion for more than 20 years. Dotty also worked with Food Lion. Together they owned Ward’s Bakery in Concord for more than 10 years.
The couple have one son, Charles Ray Benton II of Gold Hill.
