CHINA GROVE — The farmers market’s seventh year started Friday at the China Grove Roller Mill.
Sponsored by the Historical Society of South Rowan, the market is open every Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The main attraction will be a variety of fruits, vegetable and other produce. Other vendors are welcome, and vendors fees are $10 for one day or $50 for the year.
Robert Miller, of Miller and Sons Produce, says he’ll have squash and cucumbers along with the usual offerings starting May 13 at the China Grove Farmers Market. In about three weeks, Miller said he’ll have sweet corn.
On the third Friday of each month, the China Grove Farmers Market will have a new addition — music and food from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It’s been aptly titled “Third Fridays.” The Efird Family singers will be the featured performer on May 20.
