SALISBURY — A Rowan County man and registered sex offender has been arrested in Stanly County, officials said.

George Isaac Graves Jr., 64, was placed on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office most wanted list because he failed to notify them of an address change. He is a registered sex offender. He was originally convicted in 2014 of sexual battery. Rowan authorities added Graves to its list May 5.

According to Stanly County Sheriff’s Officials, Graves was arrested May 9 and placed in the Stanly County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.

Stanly County officials served the Rowan warrant and say Graves has since been released. An official there said Graves posted his bond. He has been removed from Rowan’s most wanted list.
