SALISBURY — The Burger King restaurant that caught on fire in February will be back open soon, according to a Burger King spokesperson.
Construction crews have been working at 700 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. to prepare the site for a new building. A Burger King spokesperson said the location will reopen this summer.
A fire broke out at the restaurant on the morning of Feb. 29. Battalion Chief Tim Hurlocker said the fire started around the restaurant’s office and storage area near the top of the building. The roof of the building collapsed.
No one was at the restaurant when the fire started.
Since then, the former building has been demolished.
