SALISBURY — Police say a young girl spotted her neighbor exposing himself at his front door. Officials say it isn’t the first time.

Salisbury Police charged Detris Lamar King, 34, of the 2200 block of Woodleaf Road, Holly Leaf Apartments, with misdemeanor indecent exposure.

The victim, who police say is under 16, said she saw King standing just inside his storm door with his pants unzipped and his genitals exposed. She told her mother and the mother called authorities.

According to police Capt. Shelia Lingle, the mother video recorded the neighbor as proof. She told police it was not the first time he exposed himself, but it was the first time they called law enforcement.

Lingle said more charges are expected. King was released on a written promise to appear in court. He is expected for his first court appearance June 30.
