Rowan weather: Hot and getting hotter

And it’s going to be another hot one. with mostly sunny skies and a high of 91.
There’s a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. West southwest wind picking up to 5-10 mph this morning. The chance of rain and storms goes up to 30 percent tonight, with a possibility that some storms could become severe, with damaging winds, hail and heavy downpours. The low tonight will be 68.
Wednesday also has a 20 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. It will be mostly sunny and 90, with more southwest wind at 5-10 mph. Again, the chance of showers and storms increases to 30 percent Wednesday night, with a muggy low of 72. Any storm could become severe.
Thursday has a 20 percent chance of showers and storms, too, but will be mostly sunny with a very hot high of 95. Southwest wind will blow at 7-14 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.
Sticking with the pattern, the chance of rain Thursday night is 30 percent, with an even warmer low of 75.
Friday also has a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers. It will be mostly sunny and 91. The same chance of rain stands Friday night, with thunderstorms possible later in the evening. The low will be 70.
The weekend looks clear, but hot. Saturday will be mostly sunny and 86, with a low of 70.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 88, with another low around 70.
And Monday will be partly sunny, with a high of 89. Summer is definitely here.
