SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was charged late last week with committing sex offenses against a child over a four-year period, Rowan authorities said.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Christopher Scott Kyles, 23, of the 100 block of Bethaven Drive, with four counts of indecent liberties with a child and four counts of first-degree sex offense, both of which are felonies.
Authorities said the incidents took place between 2011 and 2015, and started when the victim was 11 or 12 years old. The incidents occurred at locations in and around the residence of the victim and suspect.
He was issued a $25,000 secured bond and has since been released. Kyles already had a first court appearance and will return in October.
