CHINA GROVE — China Grove Police are investigating an overnight shooting that occurred at 578 Westside Circle at 11:45 p.m. No arrest has been made, but police do not believe this is a random act of violence.

Police Chief Andrew Deal said when officers arrived they found a black male with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
