WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued a press release this morning advising constituents to stay safe during tropical storm Hermine and call his office if they need help from federal agencies after the storm passes through.

“Hermine will bring gusty winds and a tremendous amount of rainfall to North Carolina this Labor Day weekend, which could cause significant damage to homes and property,” Tillis said in a press release.

“My staff stands ready to assist North Carolinians affected by Hermine who are having trouble getting in contact with FEMA or disaster assistance. I encourage all North Carolinians and visitors to remain alert and cautious to keep themselves and their families safe during this holiday weekend.”

North Carolinians who are having issues reaching FEMA or Disaster Assistance should call Tillis’ office at 919-922-2409.
