SALISBURY — A silver alert issued this weekend for a developmentally disabled 26-year-old Salisbury woman was canceled after the woman was located and returned home safely, police said.
The Salisbury Police Department issued the alert for Carrie Dawn Tullos, who has a decreased mental capacity, after she was with her father Friday at Family Dollar and they had an argument. She walked away from him. Police said she continued walking, headed west on Council Street.
A person who’d seen the silver alert issued spotted Tullos Saturday near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Jake Alexander Boulevard.
A police officer went to the spot where Tullos had been seen, picked her up and took her home. It’s not clear where she went overnight, but officials say she is safe and unharmed.
