SALISBURY — There’s still time to register for mini-semesters at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Mini-semesters start Oct. 17.

“Regardless of what you’re interested in, it’s not too late to start your education this fall! The great thing about the mini-semester is that it gives students the opportunity to earn full course credits in half the time,” said Dr. Carol S. Spalding. “Between the mini-semester and our continuing education classes that are provided on a rotating basis year-round, students can enroll in courses at any time to get the education they need.”

In recent years, the college has developed more condensed courses and expanded its online offerings. These courses provide a great opportunity for students with busy lives to achieve their educational dreams.

“We are bringing education to the students right where they are in their lives,’” said Spalding. “While it’s not possible for every program, our overarching goal is to be available and accessible to students. That’s why our students can now earn several degrees entirely online. It’s why the high school equivalency classes are offered morning, afternoon, evening, online and at multiple locations across the college’s service area.”

Rowan-Cabarrus is an affordable option with credits costing only $76 per credit hour – meaning that a semester’s worth of tuition would cost around $1,140. Enrolling at Rowan-Cabarrus has never been easier; students may apply online at www.rccc.edu/apply2016.

Additionally, financial aid assistance through the federal government takes time to process, so prospective students should act as soon as possible if they’re planning to utilize this assistance. For complete details, please stop in to the college’s one stop center, Navigation Station.
