With fall’s arrival and the last few months of 2016 coming to a close, it’s time to begin getting ready for the upcoming holiday season.
To give you a jump start and get you ready for the holidays, I am inviting you to attend the annual Extension Holiday Program which will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Rowan County Agriculture Center, 2727 Old Concord Road. This year’s theme will be, “Eat, Drink, and be Merry: Celebrating Halloween to Christmas and Everything in Between.”
This year’s program will be a bit different than it has been in the past. Participants who attend this year’s program will have an opportunity to create charming, festive, yet practical decorations that will fit into any décor.
Each of the items selected are designed to produce a cozy atmosphere in the home, no matter what room you’re in. With each craft, there will be an appetizer pairing to go along with that holiday.
In order to ensure that funds are available for craft supplies and food items for each person, there will be a program fee of $25 to attend. Both registration and program fee are required to be officially registered and added to the list.
To register, you will need to come by our office at 2727 Old Concord Road by Monday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. Registration is limited to the first 25 people who complete the registration form and pay the program fee.
Registration forms are available now, so stop by to complete. If you have any questions, contact the Cooperative Extension at 704-216-8970. Please be sure to register and pre-pay by Monday, Oct. 17.
