Ketchie ~ Julian Wedding

Kadie JaNeda Ketchie of Gold Hill and Robert Baker Julian III (Baker) of Faith were united in marriage September 17, 2016 at the Ketchie family farm in Gold Hill, home of the bride. The reception followed with dinner and dancing also held at the Ketchie farm.

The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Pastor Gary Coble and Rev. William (Bill) Ketchie, uncle of the bride.

Kadie was given in marriage by her father, Bobby R. Ketchie and her mother, Jancy M. Ketchie. The maids of honor were Anna Lacey Loflin and Amanda Moose (cousin of the bride). Bridesmaids included Kara Barger (cousin of the bride), Jordan Johnson, Kathryn and Meredith Julian (sisters of the groom), Ashley Suddeth and Rebecca Spivey. Program attendants were Kara Lefko and Mallory Graham. Asher, the bride’s loving Labrador Retriever, was lead down the isle by Sadie Boulware (the flower girl) and Gavin Harrison (the ring bearer and cousin of the bride).

Robert Baker Julian Jr. (Robbie) stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Travis R. Ketchie (brother of the bride), Tyler Speer, Ethan Hiatt, Travis Cauble, Murphy Corl, Clay Kluttz, and Michael Hodgson.

Kadie is the daughter of Bobby and Jancy Ketchie of Gold Hill and the granddaughter of P.H. & LaVerne McKinney of Granite Quarry and Mary Frances Ketchie and the late William W. Ketchie of Gold Hill. She was a 2006 graduate of East Rowan High School, studied business at the Univeristy of North Carolina at Charlotte and received a business degree and also graduated from Aveda Institute in Charlotte and is a Cosmetologist at “It’s All About You” salon in Concord.

Baker is the son of Nettie and “Robbie” Julian of Faith and the grandson of the late Robert Baker Julian Sr. (Bob) and Annie Rae Julian of Salisbury and Peggy Cruse and the late George Cruse of Salisbury. Baker is a 2008 graduate of East Rowan High School and attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He is employed by Henkel in Salisbury.

Following their wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Gold Hill.
