It’s going to be a hot one today, with sunny skies, a high of 86 and calm winds.The air quality is code yellow, meaning especially sensitive people, the elderly and those with heart or lung problems should avoid prolonged outdoor activities.

Tonight’s low will be 59, with no wind.

Thursday will be hot, too, with a high of 84. Calm winds will become south at 5-8 mph in the afternoon. A 20 percent chance of showers moves in around 1 a.m. Friday. The low will be 60, with south southwest wind around 6 mph.

The chance of rain for Friday is 40 percent, with showers mainly before 3 p.m. It will be partly sunny and much cooler, with a high of 69. North northwest wind will blow at 6-14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. The low will be a chilly 44.

Saturday should be sunny and quite pleasant with a high of 62. The low will be 41.

For Sunday, more sun, with a high of 68 and a low of 46.

Monday will be nice, too, with more sunny skies and a high of 73. The low will be 45.

And Tuesday will cool off a bit, with a high of 67 under sunny skies.
