SALISBURY — Police say a man wanted in an armed Walgreens robbery was arrested in Kentucky Thursday after getting off a bus.
Police received information that Richard Burlan Agee, 44, of the 2700 block of Farley Court, was on a particular bus and would be arriving around a certain time. Salisbury Police connected with Madison, Ky., detectives who were waiting on Agee as he got off the bus.
Salisbury Police developed Agee as a suspect in the robbery, which occurred Oct. 12, at the store located at 705 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. He went into the store armed with a knife and threatened to kill people if he didn’t get oxycodone.
He handed a pharmacy technician a note and threatened to kill people because he thought the tech and a pharmacist were moving too slow.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Agee’s wife, Jamie Agee, earlier this week after she was found with a number of oxycodone pills that she had hidden inside her. She also hid pills on her 10-year-old daughter as well as $587 in cash.
