Hillard 50th Anniversary

Kim Hillard and Margie Brinkley of Albuquerque, N.M. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 20, 2016. A renewal of vows was held on their 50th anniversary at the Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. Chapel. All of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren attended the ceremony. Air Force Chaplain Major Greg Brunson officiated the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Hillard had other celebrations with family that weekend as well.
The Hillards were united in marriage Nov. 20, 1966, at Trading Ford Baptist Church in Salisbury by the Rev. Banks Mullis. Kim retired from the United States Air Force after 24.5 years of service, has been involved in party politics for 20 years, and is involved in church along with teaching a class on New Testament books. Margie is a support manager, enjoys baking for the church, friends, and grandkids, and loves hiking.
The couple have five children, Teresa Rodgers of Oklahoma City, Okla., Cheryl Armijo of Carlsbad, N.M., Shonda Hillard of Las Cruces, N.M., Lorena Duncan of Fredericksburg, Va., and Patricia Hillard of Albuquerque, N.M. They also have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
