Cabarrus College welcomes Tim Elleby to governing board

CONCORD — After the resignation of Dr. Tom Shandley in July 2016, Timothy “Tim” Elleby was selected to complete the second and third years of Shandley’s second term as a Cabarrus College of Health Sciences Governing Board member. Elleby will serve in a community interest position.

Elleby is the business banking manager and market president for Wells Fargo, with responsibilities for the Cabarrus and Stanly County regions. In this role, he manages a team of business bankers serving the needs of business owners, retail banking branches, wealth management, trust services, treasury management, merchant services, SBA, marketing, insurance, payroll and equipment financing. He also manages community activities, Wells Fargo Foundation and grants, marketing and community development.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University, he is also a military veteran, having served in the United States Air Force overseas and stateside. Elleby serves on the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Foundation Board, and has served on other boards including Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce, York and Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brother Big Sister, Habitat for Humanity and the United Way.
