Gilbert Taylor Sprinkle Jr. and Joyce Beaver Sprinkle of Rockwell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 with a surprise dinner celebration given by their children. The Sprinkles were married Dec. 18, 1966 at Christ Lutheran Church, East Spencer, by Reverend Ed Harper.

The celebration was held at the the Legion Building in Rockwell that included a dinner catered by Jeff and Paige Overcash. They used this opportunity to renew their wedding vows with Reverend Ed Harper.

The couple has one daughter, Lisa Shuping and husband Todd of Salisbury and one son, Thad Sprinkle and wife Christy of Rockwell. They also have five grandsons, Logan and Landon Shuping and Bryson, Gavin and Jaden Sprinkle.
