Tony and Sherri Beaver of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 11, 2017. A family dinner was held to honor the couple Feb. 11, 2017 at Red Lobster in Statesville.

The Beavers were united in marriage Feb. 11, 1967, at First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City, S.D. Tony is a retired truck driver.

The couple have three daughters, Amy Hill and husband Don of Rockwell, Angie Boyd and husband Jeff of Woodleaf and Holly Beaver and boyfriend Jeff of Salisbury. Their three grandchildren are Christen Parker and husband Ryan of Mt. Ulla, Garrett Hill of Rockwell and Becca Beaver of Salisbury. They also have two great-grandchildren, RJ Parker and Brooklynn Parker, both of Mt. Ulla.
