Granite Quarry-Faith Police looking for woman who forged, cashed stolen check

GRANITE QUARRY — The Granite Quarry-Faith Joint Police Authority is looking for a woman they say may have fled the state.
Brenda Faye Wise was last known to be in Belmont but may have headed to South Carolina, authorities say.
Wise, 42, is also known as Brenda Faye Holmes. She is wanted on charges of felony obtaining property by false pretenses, felony uttering a forged instrument, misdemeanor larceny and probation violation.
Authorities say Wise stole a check from someone she was working for, then forged and cashed the check. She is blond, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs about 185 pounds.
The Granite Quarry-Faith Joint Police Authority asks anyone with information about Wise to call 704-279-2952, call 911 or call Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
