SALISBURY — It wasn’t an April Fools Day joke.

Police officials are looking for a man who they say was dressed as a woman and stole $85 worth of steaks from Wal-mart.

Police say the suspect walked into the store at 323 S. Arlington St. wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt and carrying a large shoulder bag. He had “what appeared to be breasts” and a mustache, a police report said.

The man put four packs of steaks worth $85.36 in his purse and left the store. He was seen getting inside a blue-green Honda that is missing its rear bumper, police said.
