Barringer 66th Anniversary

James A. Barringer and Betty Safrit Barringer of Rockwell celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary June 9, 2017. They were united in marriage June 9, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant by Rev. Thomas Huffman.
James, the son of Hubert and Daisy Barringer, worked at Cannon Mills and retired in 1993. Betty, the daughter of William and Julia Safrit, worked at Granite Knitwear and retired in 1996.
The couple have four children, son Terry Barringer and wife Carolyn and daughters, Myra Earnhardt and husband Rick, Joyce Chastain and husband Chuck and Reta Parson and husband Pete. They also have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way.
