Suspect identified in June 11 shooting death in East Spencer

SALISBURY — A suspect has been identified in a June 11 murder in East Spencer, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Howard Manuel Mickel, III — also known as Mike Mike — was identified as the suspect during the investigation of the shooting death of 26-year-old Antonio Rashad Lee. Lee’s body was discovered about 9:15 a.m. June 11 at Weant Street Apartments, 200 Grant St., East Spencer.
Mickel, 32, is from Greensboro but has recently been living in the East Spencer area, deputies said. He has outstanding arrest warrants in Guilford County for assault on a female.
Warrants have been issued charging Mickel with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is thought to be armed and dangerous, officials said.
Deputies say he may still be in the Salisbury area.
Mickel has been added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Most Wanted List.
