Salisbury High School rising freshman Emily Knorr swept the distance freestyle events (400 meter freestyle, 800 freestyle and 1500  freestyle) in the girls 13-14 age group at the North Carolina Long Course State Championships in Cary over the weekend.

Her very impressive times were 800m freestyle: 9:17.96, 400m freestyle 4:30.01, and 1500m freestyle 17:33.99.

Emily trains under head coach Brad Herndon with the Greensboro Community YMCA Makos six days a week.

She will compete in YMCA National Championships on July 31-Aug. 4 in the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 and will begin her high school career with the Hornets this winter.
