PORTLAND, Ore. — Rowan will play its first game in the Little League Softball World Series tonight. Rowan has the late game (11 p.m. Eastern time) and faces Utah.

On Tuesday, two Rowan players won individual competitions:

Rowan’s Brooke Kennerly won the catcher’s Throw-Down Challenge in the Easton Skills Competition on Tuesday. She won the event when her final throw went clean through a tire at second base for the maximum three-point score.

Rowan’s Kenadi Sproul won the Base-Running Challenge during Tuesday’s Easton Skills Competition. She got ahead of herself moving around second base, but maintained her balance, then broke for the finish at third base, clipping the bag with her cleat and falling face first in the dirt, only to return to the dugout with a big smile across her face.
