Dan and Winnie Mikkelson of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley Bryn Mikkelson, of Raleigh, to Levi Burt Michael of Raleigh.

Hayley is the granddaughter of Nagiyo Liles and the late Douglas Liles of Raleigh and Irene Mikkelson and the late Jim Mikkelson of Pineville. A 2009 graduate of Salisbury High School, Hayley received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. She was a varsity cheerleader with the UNC Tarheels for four years. Hayley is an account manager with Insight Global in Raleigh.

Levi is the son of Rhonda and Tony Michael of Welcome and the grandson of Libby Michael and the late Kenneth Wayne Michael of Welcome and Sophia Fulp and the late William Vance Fulp of Clemmons. A 2008 graduate of North Davidson High School, Levi attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was drafted out of UNC in the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He is currently employed with the Minnesota Twins baseball organization.

The wedding is Oct. 21, 2017.
