Letter: Imagine losing everything

As I read your paper throughout the past week, I was puzzled and somewhat angered about how people were lamenting the rising price of gas.

People should feel so fortunate that they still have their homes, their jobs and their families still intact. Imagine losing everything you love in less than a week.

Granted, some families in Rowan County will be affected by higher gas prices. No one likes paying more for anything. But please, be grateful for what you still have.

As for me, I am down on my knees thanking God for my intact home and my family.
