SALISBURY — Two local women were cited after they were caught shoplifting from three downtown Salisbury shops.
The women were caught on store surveillance video, police officials say.
Salisbury police say Cynthia Ann Correll, 60, of Landis and Kimberly Ford Hargett, 44, of Indian Trail were cited Monday for misdemeanor larceny. A report said Hargett admitted to taking items from Curiosities Gifts.
Surveillance video showed the two stuffing T-shirts and leggings into their purses. Police say items were stolen from Stitchin’ Post Gifts and Critters.
Correll has previous convictions for misdemeanor larceny, financial card fraud, felony credit card theft, shoplifting, common law forgery and a traffic infraction.
Correll has past charges in Mooresville, Kannapolis, Concord and Salisbury. In 2011, she was convicted of misdemeanor larceny.
