Rick and Jenny (Charles) Poole of Salisbury are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. High school sweethearts, they were married Sept. 25, 1977 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Salisbury by the Rev. Ingle O. Cook.

Rick is an operations manager for Universal Forest Products. Jenny is a homemaker.

They have a daughter, Kristina (husband Chris) Hill and a son, Joshua (wife Stacey) Poole, all residing in Salisbury. They have five grandchildren, Blake, Tyler, Luke and Lily Grace Hill and Jayde Poole.

The couple celebrated their special occasion with a Canada and New England Cruise Adventure, starting in New York, N.Y. with stops in Newport, R.I.; Boston, Mass.; Bar Harbor, Maine; St. John; and ending in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Canada.
