Joseph Cameron Hancock and Barbara Sue Hancock of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 1, 2017. A dinner with family and friends to celebrate the couple was held at China Grove Family Restaurant on Sept. 29, 2017.

The Hancocks were united in marriage Oct. 1, 1967 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Spencer by the Rev. H.M. Hocutt. Joseph worked at N.C. Finishing Co. for over 30 years and retired from National Starch. Joseph and Barbara are actively involved at their church, First Baptist Church, Rockwell.

The couple has one daughter, Carol Marie Hancock of Spencer.
