Mooresville man under $150,000 bond for drug charges

A Mooresville man faces numerous drug charges following a traffic stop in Mooresville.
On Sept. 30, a sergeant with the Iredell County Sheriff’s office was working a traffic stop on West Waterlynn Road for a suspicious vehicle. He contacted a sergeant with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team to help him.
That deputy and his dog walked around the suspicious vehicle and the dog alerted to the drver’s side door.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found 97 ecstasy pills and 40 grams of marijuana with several plastic bags and scalces commonly used for the sale of marijuana and other illegal narcotics.
Eliseo Fillemon Garcia, 29, of Elgin Lane, Mooresville, was taken into custody and charges with trafficking MDMA (ecstasy) by possession, trafficking MDMA by transporting, maintain vehicle, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.
Garcia has a previous charge of assault on a female. He is being held in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond.Garcia
