Mark and Melanie Morsillo of Charlotte are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Megan Ellen Morsillo to Gregory Richard Simpson of Rockwell.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late James and Joan Morsillo of McKeesport, Pa. and John and Cecile Bryan of Boca Raton, Fla. A 2006 graduate of Hopewell High School, Megan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a concentration in public relations. She is the sports, aquatics and events director with Trident Pool Group.

Greg is the son of Darrell and Fran Simpson of Rockwell and the grandson of the late Owen and Kathryn Simpson of Rockwell and the late Ethel and R.V. Myers of Salisbury. A 2003 East Rowan High School graduate, Greg graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice. After graduation he completed his certification in physical education and is now a physical education teacher with Rowan-Salisbury Schools.

The wedding is October 21, 2017 at the Alexander Homestead in Charlotte.
