It’s sweet potato season and look what flew into Luther Morgan‘s garden in Gold Hill.

This pretty bird is good and heavy, too, so she may have a hard time getting away before Thanksgiving. Morgan added the wing, beak  and eye.

This bird would like to remind you that what we grow in North Carolina and most of the U.S. are sweet potatoes, which come in a variety of colors and shapes. No yams here.

But if you see a flock like this one, better duck.
