10th Annual Butterball 5K benefits Prevent Child Abuse Rowan

Salisbury’s most popular 5K race takes to the streets on Thanksgiving morning and it all benefits Prevent Child Abuse Rowan. The Butterball 5K, organized by the Forum, starts at 8:30 a.m. According to Running USA, 962,000 runners and walkers took part in Turkey Day races, up almost 30 percent from five years ago.
This year’s event will offer $1,000 worth of prizes and three deep awards in 13 age groups. The race is open to competitive, recreational and beginning runners and walkers too. Every participant will get a quality dri-fit shirt and refreshments afterwards.
