A Cleveland man reported Sunday that his wife was shooting at him with a gun, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at 138 Strawberry Hill Lane in eastern Iredell County about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. A man told 911 communicators that he was hiding outside behind the home and his wife was still in the house.
Deputies found the man outside and took him to a safe location. He told them his wife had a handgun that she fired at him after a heated argument.
Deputies surrounded the house and tried to contact the woman inside. She eventually responded and surrendered nearly two hours later. She was taken into custody without further incident.
Patricia Good Sauve, 56, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling.
She was held in the Iredell County Detention Center with no bond because of the domestic violence situation.
