Gold Star Group
We ran two STaC games the week of Dec. 11 through Dec. 17 and Salisbury showed how well our small town small games players are doing.
District 7 includes the states of N.C., S.C., Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia. There were 5,807 players in this event. When all scores were compiled and compared across all clubs in District 7 we had three players in the top 320 players: Georgia Sorensen and John McLaughlin were 182nd with 7.80 points earned, Shirley Jeffers 248th with 6.66 points and Lawana Ford 312th with 5.82 points. I always knew you were good players and this gives some proof to my beliefs. Congratulations all!
Winning at our Dec. 17 game were: N/S 1st Georgia Sorensen and John McLaughlin, 2nd Lawana Ford and Shirley Jeffers, 3rd Carol Bachl and Judy Gealy; E/W 1st Pat Featherston and Dick Brisbib, 2nd Beth Shafer and Betty Bills, 3rd Toni Iossi and Marvin Jones.
