An officer said four people in a vehicle parked at the Hampton Inn were acting suspiciously. The license plate had been flagged as stolen. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Elontrae Glenn, sped off down Interstate 85.

When authorities caught up with the vehicle, Glenn and Kargbo ran and were soon arrested. According to reports, all four were arrested in the 400 block of Sportman’s Drive in Concord.

The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, Concord Police Department, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and N.C. Highway Patrol all assisted in locating the suspects, Salisbury police officials said.

Detective Travis Shulenberger said there have been a number of vehicle break-ins at area hotels and officers have been patrolling hotel parking lots.

When police searched the vehicle, they found items stolen from a vehicle parked at the Marriott.
