Might as well get used to the cold, because we’re not going to get a break for a while. In fact, the National Weather Service is warning people to prepare for a cold wave of at least three days, starting Sunday.
Today will start out cloudy, then clear, and we’ll have a high of 44. Wind will come from the north at 5-7 mph this afternoon.
Tonight will be clear and very cold, with a low of 18 and north northeast wind around 9 mph. Make sure to close up all your outside vents, and you may want to leave a trickle of water running to keep pipes from freezing.
Thursday, we only warm up to the freezing mark, 32, and we’ll have more northeast wind at 7-10 mph. Again, the low will be 18, with light northeast wind.
Friday will be mostly sunny and 41, with light south southwest wind. The low will be 25, with mostly cloudy skies.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 45, but the low will be 18 again.
Sunday, New Year’s Eve, will be mostly sunny and 33, with another low of 18, so bundle up well if you’re going to be outside at the Bell Tower.
New Year’s Day will be partly sunny and 34, with a frigid low of 13 under partly cloudy skies.
Tuesday should be mostly sunny and around 34 again.
