Rowan weather: Ice still a problem, but warmth will help

We’re still under the Winter Weather Advisory today until noon due to icy road conditions.
While the main roads saw a lot of melting Thursday, side streets and county roads remain a problem, covered by snow turned to ice in the deep cold. The temperature at 7:15 is 16 degrees.
We’ll see more sunshine today and warmer temperatures, with a high around 48 degrees. Winds will be calm until the afternoon, when wind will be from the southwest at 5 mph. Tonight will be clear, but still below freezing, with a low of 21.
Saturday will be sunny and 54, with more afternoon breezes from the west southwest. The low will be 29.
Sunday will be sunny and 58, with light winds. The low will be above freezing, at 35 degrees.
Monday brings a 30 percent chance of rain after 3 p.m., with partly sunny skies and a high of 59.
The chance of rain increases to 60 percent Monday night, mostly between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. The low will be 54.
Tuesday will have a 40 percent chance of rain before 11 a.m, then become mostly sunny and 57. The low will be 29.
Wednesday will be sunny and 53, with a low of 29 and partly cloudy skies.
Thursday should be mostly sunny and 50.
