One arrested on firearms charge; one sought

SALISBURY – A Salisbury man has been arrested and another man is being sought on federal firearms charges after a joint investigation among several agencies.
The Rowan County Gun Violence Task Force, which includes officers from the Salisbury Police Department, Rowan County Sheriff’s Department, Homeland Security, and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, arrested Dallas Labron Davis, 45, on federal charges of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Davis was arrested at 806 S. Long St. in East Spencer without incident. He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond until his first appearance before a federal magistrate.
The task force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Malcom Raheem Toomer, 25, who is also wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon.
Toomer is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Toomer may be in the Lexington area.
